MSAR 2009 Committee Chairs
Administration (A & O) Chair: Charlene Faucett, Century 21 Keysone Vice Chair: This committee oversees the policies of the MSAR office and examines the annual Budget with reference to overhead expenses, salary increases, etc.
Budget & Finance
Chair: Sally Knight. Academy Properties Oversees the financial aspects of the Board and does an annual budget. Ensures that the board is financially sound.
Circle of Excellence (Formerly Milion Dollar Club) Co-Chair: Patty Traber, Keller Williams Realty Grand South Co-Chair: Gary Lee, Academy PropertiesMeets frequently, especially during COE season. Deadline for the COE applications is January 31. This committee sets the rules and regulations, are responsible for any changes in the rules, audits files, arranges for a spectular banquet, brochure, plaques, and video during the Banquet, etc.
Constitution & Bylaws
Chair: Charlene Faucett, C/21 Keystone Vice Chair: Reg McCrary, RE/MAX Advantage Meets whenever GAR, NAR or MSAR may have changes in their bylaws. The MSAR changes are approved by the Board of Directors and placed in the on-line newsletter, which is sent to the general membership 30 days prior to the vote. Voting takes place at the Annual General Membership Meeting at the September luncheon.
Education & Orientation Chair: Sandra McCrary, ReMax Advantage Vice Chair: Briann Drake, Metro Brokers Education Director sets the quarterly schedule with the approval of the Education committee. This committee meets monthly to bring the best topics for classes and the Annual Seminar to the members as well as recruits new instructors, oversees GREC and NAR rules and regulations regarding Ethics and Orientation and industry changes.
Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity Chair: Treena`Smalls, Goldleaf Real Estate Group Vice Chair: Toya Davis Stevenson, Crystal Lake Realty, LLC The purpose of the EO/CD Committee is to develop and recommend policy promotoing equal opportunity in housing and diversity with the real estate industry.
Governmental Affairs Chair: Vice-Chair: (Clayton County): Vice-Chair: (Henry County): This committee meets whenever we have an issue that arises and must get the general membership involved in making contact with state representatives and senators. RPAC (REALTORS Political Action Committee ) and RIAC REALTOR Issues Action Committees come under this committee. Grievance Chair: Loann Horton, Market South Vice-Chair:
Leadership Development Chair: Keith Harris, Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty
Legislative/License Law Chair: Rae Pollock, Membership Chair: Brianne Drake, Metro Brokers GMAC This committee recruits new members and affiliate members, oversees dues collections, applications, etc. MLS Advisor A liaison between MSAR and MLS, brings forth information to the Board on changes in MLS.

MSAR Staff EVP - Ann Raymer Nominating Chair: Earlene Gardner, Academy Properties This committee meets annually to recommend a new slate of officers, directors and state directors for the following year. It must be approved by the Board of Directors and voted on by the general membership at the General Membership meeting in September. Parliamentarian Chair: Sandra McCrary, RE/MAX Advantage
Political Affairs Chair: Altimese Dees, RE/MAX Advantage
Professional Standards Chair: Teri Ainsworth, Net Source Realty The Grievance and Professional Standards Committees must be trained annually at the GAR - P. S. Training Seminar in March. The Grievance Committee meets whenever we receive a request for arbitration between agents and/or brokers or whenever we receive an ethics complaint. If they feel that an arbitrable matter exists or that one of our members may have violated an article in the Code of Ethics, then it will be turned over to the P.S. Committee for a hearing.
Programs Chair: Earlene Gradner, Academy Properties Responsible for speakers for our 5 luncheons as well as any other programs we may have during the course of the year.
Public Relations/Photos/Community Services Chair: Cindy Carter, Eagle's Brooke This committee makes sure that whatever community service projects and Million Dollar Club promotions we have during the year will appear in the local newspapers. Last year we donated monies to the Haven House, a battered women's shelter, contributed to Seniors and Meals on Wheels, helped build a habitat House in the past and the list goes on.
REALTOR of the Year Chair: Earlene Gardner, Academy Properties This committee is chaired by the past REALTOR of the Year. Nomination forms go out in May ever year and certain criteria must be met in order to qualify. These nomination forms are faxed and e-mailed and can also be found in the April on-line newsletter.

Special Awards Chair: Valerie McDonald, Metro Brokers Responsible for the REALTOR® of the Month award, Rookie of the Year, Silver Box Award, and annual Office Professionals' recognition.
