MSAR Membership
Quadrennial Code of Ethics Training
Between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2012 every REALTOR® is required to complete (Quadrennial) Code of Ethics training. REALTORS® who have joined the association after January 1, 2009 and attended Orientation, have already fulfilled their training requirements. All other members must complete the training by December 31, 2012, in order to continue their membership in NAR and their local Board.
After completion of this course, you will have a better understanding of due process and code enforcement. You will also understand how to handle complaints. This course includes several case studies in ethics. Instructor: Judge Parker. The class may be completed on line by going to Realtor.org.
This class will be offered at least once per quarter in 2012. According to the National Association of REALTORS® this class is due to be completed by December 31, 2012. Members not having this course complete by the due date will be placed on suspension and there will be a $25 reinstatement fee added to the cost of the fee when registering for the class after January 1, 2013.
Members completing the class outside of the board will be responsible for notifying this office with proof of class completion.
Failure to complete the required periodic ethics training shall be considered a violation of a membership duty; for which, REALTOR® membership shall be suspended until such time as the required training has been completed.
If you have any questions regarding this training or any other membership questions, you may contact MSAR at (770)477-7579.
